DORDRECHT.CITY was founded by Kees and Karima.
We are a couple with two young children and have been living in Dordrecht since 2014. Where Karima has lived in Dordrecht for almost her entire life (she is secretly a native of Rotterdam), Kees’ Dordrecht adventure only started when we bought a house here together. Kees has now also become fully integrated here and it looks like we will not be leaving this city for a long time! Surrounded by nature and the historic city center within cycling distance, we live here with great pleasure.
This website about Dordrecht was created purely from our enthusiasm for the city. The city is so versatile and has so much to offer for everyone, but we noticed that the information can hardly be found via the internet. Certainly not in English. Or you have to look carefully. Of course there are other (Dutch) websites about Dordrecht, set up by the municipality, the VVV (two parties with which we have no ties) and other private individuals who also offer a lot of information about Dordrecht. But somehow we still missed something there, especially for the English-speaking tourists. Well, if we’re going to start a website anyway, why not bilingual right away? The purpose of this website is purely informative. You can think of it as an online travel guide about the city of Dordrecht by two enthusiasts. So if you miss anything or want us to know something, don’t hesitate to fill out our contact form!

30-something, lawyer in daily life, creative, cooking and baking crazy (writes recipes on www.bakmuts.nl), loves beautiful pictures, reading and traveling.
